Sienna and Oli, an ordinary couple tired of work and the constant pursuit of money, went on vacation to Spain. Oli worked with cutting-edge technology and mining, while Sienna played various roles in theater and advertising productions, so they planned the trip themselves. They liked to get lost in unfamiliar cities, hide from unwanted attention, and live incognito for at least a few days. That's why they decided to rent a small, comfortable apartment near the historic center of Seville.
One morning, on his way back from a coffee shop, Oli noticed a strange, shiny object on the ground. It was lying next to a bench, as if someone had put it there on purpose. To someone unfamiliar with technology, it would have looked like an ordinary computer flash drive, but Oli recognized it immediately as a metal case.

There was supposed to be some amount of cryptocurrency in the wallet, and it was necessary to check urgently whether it had disappeared.
Everything happened according to the classic scheme that Oli had seen in YouTube videos and read about in articles. Pressure, haste, hints of big money. The only difference was that this time, instead of banknotes, it was bitcoins. Sienna noticed that the men never mentioned a specific amount, only constantly repeating the “great value” of the find.
This finally made them suspicious. Oli understood one simple thing: no one can know what is stored in a cold wallet unless they are its owner. Therefore, the entire fraudulent scheme was based on assumptions, greed, and knowledge of psychology.
Oli and Sienna took each other by the hand and simply walked away, refusing to participate in the conversation. The men followed them for a few more minutes, gesturing and talking loudly, but quickly fell behind.
At home, Oli connected the wallet to his laptop. The result was as expected — completely empty. The device contained no assets, no traces of actual use. It was just a decoy, designed to lure random tourists into a well-rehearsed scam with the aim of stealing their money.
Sienna stared at the metal case for a long time and thought about how easily fraud and deception take on new forms today. Technology changes, but human psychology remains the same.
They simply threw the wallet in the trash and went for a walk around the city.
